Retreat Week

As part of our faith journey, we started the academic year with a week focussed on reflection and prayer. Our retreat week gave everybody, pupils and teachers alike, the opportunity to communicate with Christ in many different ways including journaling, meditation and song. We reminded ourselves of the school values and mission to ensure that we were ready for the year ahead. (#stjretreat)

St. Joseph’s Feast Day

March 19th is the Feast Day of Our Patron Saint St. Joseph. Every year we celebrate the uniqueness of our school  with a retreat week. This year we had a fun filled week of creative ways to honour St. Joseph.

We made class banners to show how we can use our hands to God’s work. Our chaplains set up and led Prayer Stations in the hall. Mrs Manders led Lenten meditation sessions in our prayer room. Our Mini-Vinnies asked us to find out about the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5 thousand and think about the things we can do to help others, such as our Eco Shop, Harvest Festivals etc. We ended our week with a wonderful celebration assembly showcasing our banners with each other and singing our school song.
